Seventh Heaven

Pom Skua, 2 Roseate Terns, Yellow legged and Med Gulls and a Sooty passed Whitburn by 08.30 am. Add to this the Minke Whale that went north and its been a cracking morning. I was joined by Magic Mark whose magicians hat was working today and Stoney
The early rain meant things were slow getting started but once it got going it was a great sea watch. Here's what we saw in order of appearance

07.35 Minke Whale seen twice moving north
07.45 Minke Whale seen once further north
Med Gull juv on sea trying to eat a frog! then flew south
Yellow Legged Gull 1n juv a fantastic find by Magic Mark a new Obs year tick bringing the total to 145, and a Durham year list tick bring it to 227
